MSHA slow in public inspection records; withholds inspector's written concerns

WV Public Broadcasting has encountered difficulty in getting the Mine Safety and Health Administration to release public information concerning inspecting. Sometimes when information is finally released, it’s incomplete. In two examples, MSHA withheld an inspector’s concerns that people could die if problems were not corrected at a Raleigh County coal impoundment dam.
