How You Can Help

Scientists, Students, and Labs: A first step in organizing for sludge safety is gathering the facts and understanding the risks of water contamination. We are in constant need of water testing resources, kits, sampling equipment and lab analysis. We need to test for heavy metals such as manganese, iron, arsenic, copper, and lead, and also for volatile organics when possible. SSP works to connect universities, college classes, and religious organizations directly with communities living with black, red, or orange water in their taps or in their streams . For more information and to get involved, please call Stephanie Tyree at 304-522-0246 or email info@sludgesafety.org.
