Virtual Flyover of Marsh Fork Elementary School and Environs

Please excuse the photo quality. Most of these were shot through the plane window, rather than with the window open. Also, smoke filled the air, a result of trees being burned as the coal company cleared the land in preaprtion for blasting

The light green lawn patch compromises the school's ball fields. The gym and school building are over shadowed by the coal silo. The coal prep plant is out of sight, below the dam and sludge lake.

The coal prep plant is to the left of the silo. A cloud of dust--probably laden with silica since they rock being blasted away from the coal seams is sandstone. Rich forests and soil used to be atop the rock being blasted to hell. Wonder what all that blasting is doing to the dam?
